Good to know

Installing the Mac app

Open the disk image and drag PocketCtrl onto the Applications folder in the installer window, then eject the installer. Open PocketCtrl from Applications and confirm the normal first-open prompt from macOS.

You do not need Xcode or TestFlight. Do not disable Gatekeeper or strip quarantine. If macOS says the app is damaged or cannot be verified, do not bypass it; contact support.

Updating the Mac app

Updates are manual for now. Quit PocketCtrl from its menu bar menu, download the newer version here, and replace the copy in Applications. Your saved pairings and permissions carry over.

Which Mac runs which part?

The Mac you want to reach runs PocketCtrl as the host. Any other Mac can run the same app as a viewer, so one download covers both roles. The iPhone and iPad app is a viewer only.

Building from source instead
